At long last the CMA (UK Competition and Markets Authority) has joined the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) in allowing the acquisition of Activision and Blizzard by Microsoft.
This would mean that Microsoft now have the full ability to complete the takeover of the franchises by the deadline of October the 18th.
This means that should Microsoft meet the deadline, with no further concerns raised by the CMA, the £56 bn ($69bn) takeover should be possible.

Matthew Field from The Telegrapgh have just reported that the CMA have approved Microsofts latest proposal which has allowed Activision's streaming rights to be shared with Ubisoft for a one-time fee. This has eased the CMA's concerns that Microsoft's acquisition of Activision would have granted the company an unfair proportion of the cloud gaming or streaming market.
This is incredible news for Xbox users and fans of the Activision Blizzard brand as this could see a revitalization of the franchise as well as access to cloud gaming services which would allow players access to their favourite titles such as Call of Duty.
