The Elder Scrolls: Castles releases onto Android with early access

Fans of Bethesda, Elder Scrolls and Fallout Shelter will have something to be excited about in the near future. Seemingly out of the blue, Bethesda Softworks have added to their mobile phone gaming library with a new title The Elder Scrolls: Castles.

Although details on the full release date for the new mobile game are scarce, outlets across the internet are scrambling to gather any information about the latest fallout-shelter like base management sim.

Aside from the lone screenshots circulating online, the description for the title mentions epic quests and a return to the classic Elder Scrolls world, this time with clear inspiration from the 2015 mobile release of Fallout Shelter.

From this 20 minute gameplay video on YouTube from Sekaimen we can see there is a clear deviation from the typical visuals of an Elder Scrolls title in favour of a Nintendo-esque style which may not be to everyone's taste, yet there is already a degree of hype around this new mobile title.

Even in comparison to their previous mobile title under the Elder Scrolls franchise, The Elder Scrolls: Blades adhered to the class action RPG style of Skyrim and Oblivion. Hopefully Castles can live up to the hype that has already generated in the last 24 hours and fill the need for a return to Nirn and Tamriel.
