PlayStation 5 set to miss out on Elder Scrolls 6

The latest upheaval surrounding the Microsoft FTC takeover trial is the news coming out surrounding the future release of Bethesda's much anticipated Elder Scrolls VI.

Although Bethesda officially announced the title during the 2018 edition of E3, very little has been revealed since as Todd Howard and the rest of the developers have been exceedingly tight lipped.

Yet, as the news broke from Tom Warren from The Verge today, it is confirmed that PS5 is set to miss out on the release of Elder Scrolls VI as Microsoft reaffirms its stance of exclusivity with any upcoming Bethesda titles.

Much to the bemoaning of many PlayStation and Xbox users alike is the 2026 or later expected release date. Although this has always been suggested by those at Bethesda, due to the sheer size and complication when undergoing such a vast project, fans of the series will have to wait at least three years to return to the land of Tamriel once again.
