Closing in on the completion of my first playthrough of Bethesda's newest flagship game, Starfield.
My anticipation and expectations for this game were met from the outset, the classic Bethesda trope of getting caught up in a mission to change your destiny, from that of a miner on Vectera, to finding yourself a chair member of Constellation and co-operating with the various factions of the Settled Systems, proves that adventure will always be at the fore front of the gaming industry and its fans.
Starfield broke through the noise surrounding its release by reaching 1,000,000 concurrent players during the week of its grand entrance on Xbox Game Pass, dismissing criticism with the sheer buzz and child-like wonder I got from customising the Frontier, staring out at Jemison from the Eye or learning about the mysteries of the Starborn.
But even as I reach the conclusion of my first playthrough, I am only more excited to start again with NewGame+ in order to play out my fantasies as a space pirate or collude with the recluse House of Var'uun.
